Driving curve simulations

For a suitable road or junction design |

Vehicles need space to manoeuvre. But how much? Space is usually confined. cursim allows you to perform driving curve simulations to determine whether there is enough space to manoeuvre safely. You can realistically simulate any required manoeuvre (forward or reversing) for any type of vehicle (including abnormal loads).

More than ‘just made the bend’
Driving curve simulations are usually performed to test the quality of a design. That quality is about more than ‘just being able to make the bend.’ An effective design allows vehicles to manoeuvre:

  • without causing damage (and repair costs);
  • at a sufficient speed to ensure optimum flow;
  • comfortably for the driver and any passengers;
  • safely for cyclists and pedestrians.
